The 114th Annual Meeting of the Vermont Botanical and Bird Club will be held at Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont from Thursday, June 25 – Sunday, June 28, 2009. Nestled in far southwestern Vermont at the foot of Mount Anthony, Southern Vermont College is located on the grounds of the former Edward H. Everett Estate and Mansion built from 1911 – 1914.

Within short distances are the slopes and hollows of the Taconic Mountains, the floor of the Vermont Valley and the western slopes of the Green Mountains, all of which offer interesting and varied field trip destinations. The Club last visited Southern Vermont College in 1999.
